250 ahli PKR Melaka berarak tuntut segera siasat TH

Almost 250 members of the PKR party in Melaka gathered outside the International Trade Centre Melaka, wearing black and carrying banners with the slogans "Protect Tabung Haji" and "Justice." They repeatedly chanted "investigation." The group claimed to consist of PKR Melaka members and did not have any party leadership among them.

One participant, identified as Nasir, stated that the activists were demanding the Prime Minister, Anwar Ibrahim, expedite an investigation into Tabung Haji. Another participant, Ashiq, emphasized that the issue of Tabung Haji is very close to the hearts of Malay and Muslim people and needs to be investigated appropriately. "Action must be taken because this is our parents' money, and it is also money for the pilgrimage of our children," he said.

The Royal Malaysian Investigation Agency (RCI) classified the probe into Tabung Haji last month and recommended comprehensive improvements, including stricter supervision, forensic audits of selected investments, and limiting political interference in the institution. The report also led to investigations by the police, the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (SPRM), the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (LHDN), and several high-profile arrests.
