‘X-Men’ Finally Unveils Its Cast, Including Adam Driver, Inde Navarrette, Christopher Abbott

Marvel Studios has officially announced the cast for their upcoming X-Men movie, set to hit theaters on May 5th, 2028. The film will feature a new cast of mutants in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) for the first time.

Sadie Sink will reprise her role as Jean Grey, while Samara Weaving returns as Emma Frost and Kit Connor as Cyclops. Additionally, Inde Navarette joins the cast as Rogue, and Christopher Abbott takes on the role of Professor X.

The mutant roster also includes a surprise addition from the cast of the popular TV show Girls - Adam Driver, who plays the villainous Mr. Sinister. Broadway actress Maya Boyd will portray the new Storm.

The X-Men film franchise began in 2000 with Patrick Stewart and Hugh Jackman leading the first installment, followed by X2 in 2002 and X-Men: The Last Stand in 2006. After a trilogy of movies, a new cast was introduced for X-Men: Origins - Wolverine in 2009.

A fresh, younger cast starred in Matthew Vaughn's X-Men: First Class, leading to subsequent films such as Days of Future Past, Apocalypse, and Dark Phoenix. Jackman's Wolverine made a final appearance in Logan in 2017, only to be resurrected in the third Deadpool movie.

With the acquisition of Fox by Disney, the mutants can now be integrated into the MCU. The new X-Men movie is set to be released in theaters on May 5th, 2028.
