VisionQuest Trailer: Paul Bettany's Synthezoid Makes His Long-Awaited Return In First Footage From Disney+ Series

Disney+ unveiled the inaugural trailer for Marvel's forthcoming series, VisionQuest, during the D23 fan expo on Friday. The promotional clip provides the first glimpse of Paul Bettany's synthezoid, Vision, since his mysterious disappearance at the conclusion of the WandaVision finale in 2021. To recap: in the series finale, Vision was recreated as a White Vision body, imbued with Original Vision's memories by S.W.O.R.D. to combat Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen). White Vision claimed, "I am Vision," and vanished.

VisionQuest presents Vision as a reclusive character residing in a British pub, although he left a W+V heart symbol in the establishment. Intriguingly, Vision reflects on his past, acknowledging, "I was an Avenger, but I'm not a hero anymore." As Vision delves into his mind, we encounter various projections of his associates, including James Spader portraying Ultron. Vision is uncertain about the authenticity of his family with Wanda, but Ultron reveals the presence of a son outside their family.

Scheduled to premiere on October 14, VisionQuest will conclude the WandaVision trilogy, which also encompasses 2021's WandaVision and the 2024 installment, Agatha All Along, featuring Kathryn Hahn as witch Agatha Harkness. According to the synopsis, Vision, freed from those aiming to exploit him, has been on the run seeking a new purpose.

His journey leads him to Thomas Shepard, a mysterious boy who might be his son, reincarnated. As Vision evades capture, he must grapple with his identity, resist Ultron's control, and decipher the mystery surrounding his young companion if he wants to survive. Notable cameos include James Spader as Ultron, Faran Tahir as Raza, Todd Stashwick (12 Monkeys), T Nia Miller (The Haunting of Bly Manor), and Emily Hampshire (Schitt's Creek).
