Marvel Studios has officially unveiled a substantial roster for its upcoming MCU X-Men film reboot, revealing a star-studded cast that includes Inde Navarrette as Rogue, Adam Driver as Mister Sinister, and Maya Boyd as Storm. The news was announced during the D23 2026 event, where several actors, such as Kit Connor as Cyclops and Samara Weaving as Emma Frost, were previously mentioned but now officially confirmed as part of the ensemble.

Navarrette has taken over the role of Rogue, who possesses the unique ability to absorb powers from others. Driver, known for his roles in Star Wars and other high-profile projects, has been rumored to be in contention for various roles, and his casting as Mister Sinister, an evil mastermind in the X-Men universe, has been officially confirmed. Boyd, with less extensive credits to her name, has been chosen to portray Storm, a character who harnesses the power of nature.

The big surprises among the cast include Navarrette and Driver. While the latter has been rumored to be in the running for the role of Magneto, he is now officially confirmed as Mister Sinister. Boyd's role as Storm marks her biggest part yet, with previous projects including a 2023 short film and some work on Broadway.

Professor Charles Xavier, the mentor of the X-Men, will be played by Christopher Abbott. Rumored to be in contention for this role, Abbott's presence at D23 officially confirms his involvement in the X-Men team. The X-Men movie is set to release in theaters on May 5, 2028.
