According to the Bauchi State police command, a 19-year-old newlywed named Aisha Musa allegedly poisoned her husband 40 days after their wedding in Gwamna village, Bauchi Local Government Area. The incident occurred on August 12, 2026, when the husband consumed the meal and fell ill, leading to his transfer to the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital in Bauchi.
The public relations officer of the Bauchi State police command, SP Nafiu Habib, disclosed that the police received an anonymous distress call at 3:15 pm on the day of the incident.
