Uttar Pradesh: CM Yogi Adityanath Announces New Youth Policy On Independence Day, Focuses On Skill, Innovation And Employment | VIDEO

Lucknow, August 15, 2026: Uttar Pradesh's Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has unveiled a new Youth Policy on the state's 80th Independence Day. Speaking at a state-level celebration in Vidhan Bhavan, Adityanath highlighted the transformation of Uttar Pradesh from a "BIMARU" state to a "growth engine" of the nation's economy. The policy aims to bolster the skill, innovation, and employment opportunities for the state's youth.

Adityanath emphasized that the government is committed to providing skill, innovation, and employment to every youth by leveraging their capabilities and potential. He added that the new policy will propel the youth to use their strengths and achieve their dreams. The policy focuses on integrating heritage with futuristic technology, preserving cultural pride while promoting modernity, and maintaining strong roots in tradition.

The youth of Uttar Pradesh are described as the state's greatest strength, with talent, hard work, and determination to contribute to the country and society. The government has taken strict action against cheating and recruitment mafia, transforming the state's demographic dividend into a development engine. The policy provides interest-free and collateral-free loans through the CM Yuva Udyami Yojana to support self-employment.

Infrastructure development, including sports colleges, stadiums, mini stadiums, playgrounds, and open gyms, is being established across the state.

Tributes were paid to several prominent freedom fighters, including Mahatma Gandhi, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Bhimrao Ambedkar, and Dr Rajendra Prasad. The Chief Minister emphasized that the freedom struggle would be incomplete without Uttar Pradesh, highlighting the contributions of notable figures from the region.

The speech concluded by acknowledging the sacrifices made during the First War of Independence and the challenges faced post-independence, such as illiteracy, inequality, and poverty. Adityanath affirmed that Uttar Pradesh has made significant progress in eliminating these issues under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
