Three-time MVP Aaron Judge plays catch for first time in rehab from broken rib, return date unclear

Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge played catch for the first time in rehab from a broken right rib on Friday, as he continues his path to a return this season. The three-time AL MVP and eight-time All-Star hasn't played since May 31, but manager Aaron Boone reported that Judge responded well to his first throwing session. Boone stated that they expect Judge to be back, though they are still in the early stages of his rehabilitation.

Judge, who was cleared to begin light workout activity on August 5, is currently hitting .248 with 17 home runs, 38 RBIs, and a .907 OPS. His last home run came in the final 18 games before he went on the injured list.
