England defender Djed Spence leaves Tottenham for Italian champion Inter Milan

England defender Djed Spence has transferred from Tottenham Hotspur to Inter Milan, the champion Italian club. This permanent move, announced by Inter on its website, sees Spence sign a contract with the Nerazzurri until June 30, 2031. No transfer fee was disclosed, but it was reported that the two clubs had agreed to a price of £30 million ($40.5 million), with Tottenham retaining a 10 percent sell-on clause.

Spence, who played in all eight matches of England's 2026 World Cup campaign, replaces Denzel Dumfries, who moved to Real Madrid this offseason. The 26-year-old, who started his career at Fulham, previously played for Middlesbrough between 2022 and 2024.
