Sindh PA marks Independence Day with call for unity

Karachi witnessed a special ceremony on Friday to commemorate Pakistan's Independence Day, as Sindh Governor Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi paid a visit to the Sindh Assembly. The event, graced by the Speaker of the Assembly and lawmakers, was attended by officials from the Children’s Parliament and key figures in the federal government.

Accompanying the governor was Minister of State for Sports Khel Das Kohistani and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Fahad Haroon, alongside Spokesman of Federal Government for Sindh Raja Ansari and other officials.

During the proceedings, members of the Sindh Assembly took to the podium, underscoring the significance of Independence Day and the imperative to expedite Pakistan’s development. Jamil Soomro, an assembly member, presented a resolution, emphasizing the collective commitment to reinforcing national unity and facilitating the nation's progress and prosperity.

The lawmakers reaffirmed their dedication to nurturing national unity and driving the country towards greater advancement. In a remarkable display of foresight, members of the Children’s Parliament also addressed the gathering, highlighting the pivotal role of the youth in shaping Pakistan's future.
