Sanusi mahu Selangor jadi titik mula tumbangkan PH

PN Chairman Sanusi Nor stated that Selangor is crucial due to the state being the economic, financial, and administrative hub of the country. PAS aims to use Selangor as a launching point to challenge Pakatan Harapan (PH) both at the state and federal levels in the 2016 general election, Sanusi said at a PAS Women's Council meeting in Selangor's PAS Complex.

Selangor's importance lies in its economic, financial, and administrative centrality, he said when speaking at the PAS Women's Council gathering in Selangor yesterday evening. Sanusi, who is also Chief Minister of Kedah, added that the meeting's objective is to build spirit and reinforce the determination of PAS to wrest control of Selangor administration from PH.

PAS will devise strategies and approaches, including utilizing party constitution, national legislation, and democratic practices to face PRU16. He urged Malaysians to evaluate PH based on its governance performance, not just political slogans. Going forward, Malaysians must assess PH based on its performance, not just slogans, he urged.

He questioned why the Royal Malaysian Audit Committee's report on the Haj Fund was only released after nearly three years, a move he claimed was politically motivated. In the 2023 Selangor PRN, PH won 32 out of 56 parliamentary seats, while PN secured 22 seats, with two contested by Barisan Nasional. PH and BN subsequently formed the state government.

Last month, PKR Selangor Youth Deputy Shahrul Adnan urged PH in the state to re-evaluate political cooperation with BN's successor BN-PN to oppose them across all 36 parliamentary seats. He said political cooperation must be built on mutual respect, trust, and commitment, not seasonal elections or current political interests. Analysts have previously said that BN-PN cooperation could challenge PH's hold on Selangor, especially if the two coalitions successfully reduce Malay vote fragmentation.
