Punjab to Introduce Fully Online College Admissions

The Punjab Education Department has announced plans to transition all college admissions in the province to a fully online system by 2027, moving away from manual procedures. Director Public Instruction, Dr. Ansar Azhar, revealed that this change is aligned with the government's broader paperless policy. Colleges will discontinue printing prospectuses and admission forms, and students will be required to handle the entire admission process via an online platform.

Notably, college fee payments have already been transitioned to digital formats. The remaining admission procedures will also be digitized starting from the upcoming academic year. Dr. Azhar urged students and parents to utilize the electronic system, avoiding the need to physically visit colleges and endure long queues. This initiative aims to make college admissions in Punjab fully online, encompassing applications, admission-related processes, and fee payments.
