Pascal Wehrlein responds to Porsche’s team tactics after dominant London win

Pascal Wehrlein has expressed his support for Porsche's team tactics that contributed to his victory in the London E-Prix. The German driver, who moved from third to first in the drivers' standings, acknowledged that his chances of a clean sweep were enhanced by Porsche's deployment of several team orders. During qualifying, both his teammate Nico Muller and Dan Tickum's car slowed down, allowing Wehrlein to secure pole position with minimal competition.

Muller then backed Evans and the rest of the field during the first stint, enabling Wehrlein to gain a lead of over two seconds while conserving energy. Wehrlein defended his comments made the previous Friday, stating that such tactics were not uncommon, citing the 2024 Monaco E-Prix as an example. He was content with the outcome, noting that the race had been a perfect day for him, except for missing the fastest lap.

The driver, aiming to become Formula E's first double champion, is targeting a win in the finale, while acknowledging the importance of calculated moves when necessary.
