#OsunDecides2026: Shame APC, we are winning Osun no be Edo – Davido

Afrobeats musician Davido has declared his uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State, as the frontrunner in the state's forthcoming governorship election. On social media, Davido posted that his uncle is "cruising to victory" and ridiculed the All Progressives Congress (APC), saying "Shame APC. Osun no be Edo!"

Davido also urged voters to remain alert and stand against what he called former Governor Gboyega Oyetola's alleged plans. He encouraged security forces to stay at polling stations during the election process.

As votes were being counted, Davido tweeted that the singer’s uncle had secured a large lead, with 421 votes at a polling station. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had uploaded results for 2,266 out of 3,763 polling units in Osun. Three top candidates - Adeleke, Bola Oyebamiji of the APC, and Najeem Salaam of the African Democratic Congress - had each expressed confidence in winning. However, the final results had not yet been officially announced by INEC.
