Opinion: How Iran and Ukraine are strategically sinking their rivals at sea

In the ongoing conflict, Iran and Ukraine are waging a strategic battle at sea, with each nation utilizing unmanned aerial vehicles and maritime attacks to weaken their adversaries. The focus of the war may be primarily aerial, but the control of strategic maritime routes, such as the Strait of Hormuz, is becoming increasingly important in determining the outcome.

Recent strikes and counterstrikes by both Iran and Ukraine have highlighted that the true strategic significance of the conflict is actually unfolding at sea. The US, in response to these developments, has hinted at further escalation through various means, such as a ground invasion, attacks on Iran's critical infrastructure, or a direct assault on the nuclear-linked complex in Isfahan province.
