DAAM and QCDC Sign Agreement to Support Youth Labour Market Readiness Programme

Doha, Qatar - The Social and Sport Contribution Fund (DAAM) has entered into a financing deal with Qatar Career Development Center (QCDC), a foundation of Qatar Foundation. This agreement aims to bolster the Youth Labour Market Readiness Programme, which is geared toward supporting students from grades 9 to 12 in public schools.

The funding will go towards establishing an integrated career development ecosystem. This includes the creation of a national AI-powered career advising platform that caters to the Qatari community. The platform will assist students in identifying their interests and grasping the academic pathways available to them at the university level.

In addition, the agreement will support the Al-Dileela platform, which offers career advising services led by specialists. It also includes preparatory training programs and real-world job shadowing experiences in workplace environments to foster skill development and practical experience.

Saad Abdulla Al-Kharji, Executive Director of QCDC, emphasized the importance of this partnership. He stated, "Preparing young people for the labour market requires aligning their aspirations, skills, and future needs of the country. This agreement with DAAM will create a more interconnected pathway that allows QCDC to enhance its existing programs, broaden their reach, and deliver career development support in a more connected, accessible, and responsive manner to Qatar's long-term human capital priorities."

Hassan Yousef Al Obaidly, Director of Programs at DAAM, highlighted the significance of the agreement in advancing national development goals. He said, "This agreement builds upon DAAM's efforts to empower young people and equip them with the skills and knowledge required to transition confidently into the labor market. It also reaffirms DAAM's commitment to supporting initiatives with sustainable community impact."

The agreement marks a shared dedication between DAAM and QCDC to invest in the young talent of Qatar. Furthermore, it underscores the role of DAAM and Qatar Stock Exchange-listed companies in supporting national initiatives that contribute to community development and human capital development in Qatar.
