Cymru Premier: Barry maintain perfect start with late win

Barry Town United have started their Cymru Premier season with a perfect record, claiming their first three matches by a single goal. The team maintained this impressive start with a 1-0 victory over Cardiff Metropolitan University, ending Cardiff Met's perfect record.

The match at Jenner Park was decided in the 13th minute when Barry Town were awarded a penalty following a push on substitute Dan Barton by Fumpa Mwandwe. Jack Shaw converted the spot-kick, but it was parried by Met goalkeeper Arron Davies who guessed the correct direction. The ball then bounced into Dan Smith's path, who headed it home.

Barry Town now sit second in the table on goal difference, trailing only Llandudno, who secured a 3-1 win against Holywell Town in their match. Earlier, Caernarfon Town bounced back from their loss to Penybont last week with a 3-0 victory over Colwyn Bay, ending Colwyn Bay's winning streak. Danny Gosset's first-half goal was followed by Zack Clarke's second before Adrian Cieślewicz sealed the win for Caernarfon Town.
