Minister of Marine and Blue Economy and ex-Osun State Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola, along with his spouse, Alhaja Kafayat Oyetola, participated in the ongoing Osun State gubernatorial election at Ward 1, Unit 10, Iragbiji, located in Boripe Local Government Area. Following their voting process at approximately 10:30 am, Oyetola expressed his appreciation for the high voter turnout and the peaceful environment witnessed across the polling stations.

"The enthusiasm of our citizens to partake in the democratic procedure is commendable, and it shows their commitment to exercising their civic duties," he remarked. The former governor also lauded the orderly manner in which the election was being conducted, urging the residents to maintain peace during and after the voting process.

"Osun is a peaceful state, and I appeal to everyone to uphold this spirit throughout the election and post-election results announcement," Oyetola emphasized. As the leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Oyetola conveyed his confidence in the party's candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, stating that the electorate would make the correct decision.

"I have complete faith in our candidate, and I believe the people of Osun will make the right choice. Our primary focus now is for everyone to remain calm and allow the votes to be counted and the people's will to prevail," he added. Oyetola also expressed his gratitude towards the security forces deployed for the election, urging them to maintain professionalism and impartiality until the voting process concluded.

"I commend the security personnel for their dedicated service. Their presence is vital in maintaining peace and ensuring that voters can exercise their rights without any form of intimidation. I implore them to continue to perform their duties professionally and fairly," he stated.
