President Donald Trump frequently sidesteps taking responsibility for his administration's failures and shortcomings, according to reports. A primary example is his denial of blame for an ailing economy and persistent inflation, despite the fact that these issues were inherited from his predecessor, Joe Biden. Trump has consistently claimed that Biden has failed to deliver on his promise of an immediate economic turnaround, even though Biden has been out of office for more than 18 months.

Another case where Trump avoids accountability is regarding the problematic refurbishment of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool. The Republican administration has blamed the ongoing vandalism on "shoddy workmanship," despite an investigation by a prosecutor from Trump's own team indicating that the damage was due to poor craftsmanship.

Additionally, Trump's administration has faced backlash for its escalating involvement in the war in Iran, which has resulted in high oil prices, a decline in Trump's approval ratings, and international economic instability. Ironically, Trump has argued that earlier presidents had squandered nearly 50 years of opportunities to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear capabilities, thereby placing the blame for these issues squarely on their shoulders.
