Osun Decides: I’ll win if election is free, fair – ADC candidate Salaam

ADC governorship candidate Dr. Najeem Salaam expressed optimism about his prospects in the ongoing Osun State gubernatorial election, asserting his belief in victory provided the electoral process remains transparent and credible. After casting his vote in Ward 004, Ejigbo at Polling Unit 003, Iroyin Ayo Open Space, Salaam cited widespread support from across the state as a motivating factor for his confidence in triumphing over the opposition.

He stated firmly, "Without manipulation, I will win this election. The people of Osun are behind me and they are ready for change." However, Salaam voiced apprehension regarding allegations of irregularities reported across the state, asserting that his campaign team was on high alert to monitor the situation closely. He also rejected claims that the ADC was involved in vote-buying, emphasizing that the party's approach centered on empowering citizens to make their choices freely at the polls.

Salaam alleged that some ADC polling agents faced obstacles in certain areas, warning that such actions could erode public trust in the election outcome. Despite his concerns, Salaam urged voters and supporters to remain calm, law-abiding, and vigilant throughout the voting and counting phases, expressing hope that the final results would accurately reflect the genuine intent of the Osun electorate.
