Abiodun Saves Buhari Estate from Forfeiture, Delivers 108 Homes

Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has saved the President Muhammadu Buhari Estate in Abeokuta from potential forfeiture and turned it into a 108-unit residential community. The estate, situated along the Abeokuta-Sagamu Expressway, is set to be inaugurated by the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu. Initially inherited by the Abiodun administration in an undeveloped state, the project faced legal disputes over unpaid contractor obligations, putting it at risk of loss.

In response, the administration settled the dispute out of court and began payments, switching to a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model. The state provided land and infrastructure while private developers handled construction and housing sales. This intervention led to the completion of the PMB Estate, featuring 108 modern four-bedroom duplexes with high-quality infrastructure.

The development includes well-constructed roads, landscaping, water supply, waste management, a sporting center, playground, clubhouse, 24-hour power, ample parking, and top-notch security. The fully detached homes span around 900 square meters, while the semi-detached units range from 460 to 500 square meters. Abiodun emphasized his administration's commitment to protecting public investments and completing inherited projects.

Strategically located near key facilities, the PMB Estate offers easy access to transportation and commercial corridors, while also attracting private-sector investment, including a training school from Access Bank. The inauguration marks the successful recovery and transformation of a previously abandoned project into a valuable housing community for Ogun State residents.
