UP Launches UNNATI System To Monitor Teacher Training Quality & Improve Learning Outcomes

Lucknow, August 14: The Yogi government's new 'UNNATI' system aims to monitor and enhance the quality of teacher training to improve children's learning outcomes. This online monitoring system focuses on linking teacher capacity development with technology-based tracking to ensure training quality remains high as it progresses through different levels. By utilizing FLN (Foundational Literacy and Numeracy) and NCERT textbooks, UNNATI strengthens teachers' academic understanding and effective teaching methods.

Online video conferencing, mandatory high-resolution web cameras, microphones, and fast internet connections enable real-time monitoring of training activities, ensuring the academic content gains from training sessions are effectively passed on. Training sessions emphasize connecting textbook content to activities and teaching techniques tailored to children's learning levels and classroom needs, ultimately enhancing language and mathematical comprehension.

The system's online supervision includes unique links for each training batch, generated by Block Education Officers and provided through relevant channels before training begins. This ensures proper online monitoring of each batch and adherence to the prescribed standards. The Yogi government aims to improve teacher preparedness, training quality, and children's learning outcomes through this technology-driven approach.

As Sandeep Singh, Minister of State (Independent Charge), Basic Education, stated, "The Yogi government's objective is to make teacher training more effective so that its quality directly benefits children's learning. Online monitoring of training is being strengthened through 'Unnati', which will improve both the quality of training and teachers' capabilities."
