Sonos Ace Ultra may launch cheaper than the original Ace, new leak reveals

Sonos may launch its new premium headphones, the Ace Ultra, at a lower price than its predecessor. A leak has revealed that the Ace Ultra could cost €449 in Europe, which is €50 cheaper than the original Ace's €499 launch price. The headphones are expected to be announced on September 1, 2026, with sales beginning on September 29.

The Ace Ultra will retain much of the design from the original Ace but with a slightly larger frame, deeper earcups, and a bulkier appearance. It will come in three colors: Black, White, and Agave, a blue-green shade. According to the leak, the Ace Ultra's active noise cancellation could be up to twice as effective as the original Ace, and its battery life is expected to reach 35 hours with ANC enabled.

Fast charging could provide around three hours of playback from just three minutes of charging. The headphones will also feature an adjustable headband, swiveling earcups, foam ear cushions, beamforming microphones for calls, and Dolby Atmos compatibility. Additionally, the Ace Ultra will have audio transfer through a single touch, automatic port detection, and replaceable ear pads and battery.

These upgrades could make the Ace Ultra a more competitive option for buyers considering premium noise-canceling headphones.
