RATTAWU honours DSS DG for strategic intelligence, national security

The Radio, Television, Theatre and Arts Workers Union (RATTAWU) honored the Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS), Mr. Oluwatosin Ajayi, with the 'Golden Era Pillar of Critical and Strategic Intelligence for National Development Award' during its 50th anniversary celebration. The award was given at Ajayi's office in Abuja by the National President of RATTAWU, Emeka Kalu, who was joined by members for a media/security-critical engagement and strategic partnership meeting.

Kalu praised the appointment of Ajayi by President Bola Tinubu in 2024, calling it a perfect fit. He emphasized that the award recognized individuals and institutions that have made significant contributions to national development, security, democracy, culture, and the growth of Nigeria. Kalu highlighted the importance of placing capable and honest professionals in strategic positions of national responsibility.

He commended Tinubu's vow to revive the refineries and condemn wasteful operations, noting that complex security and technological challenges demand such appointments. Ajayi expressed gratitude to RATTAWU's leadership for the honor, stating that the recognition would encourage him and the DSS to remain committed to their duties for the nation.
