National Cathedral funds could have completed some Agenda 111 hospitals – AG

Attorney General Dr Dominic Ayine has expressed concern over funds allocated to the National Cathedral which could have been utilized to complete some of the hospitals under the Agenda 111 project. While addressing the launch of the Free Primary Health Care programme in the Bolga East Constituency, Dr Ayine called attention to a PwC report on the National Cathedral which he received on Friday.

According to the report, the funds spent on the cathedral could have been employed to finish some of the stalled hospitals under Agenda 111. Dr Ayine questioned the methodology used to develop the project and argued that constructing a place of worship should have been approached differently. He emphasized that the construction of a religious facility should not have been handled in the same way as a secular project.
