Interview: Autohändler Weller: „Die Spritpreisbremse war Nonsens“

He dismissed the pessimistic debate surrounding the industry, citing strong profits for manufacturers and the growth of Chinese automakers. Weller believes that Chinese companies will remain niche players in the future and that the German government's electric vehicle subsidy is "pure nonsense".

He highlighted that Chinese cars offer similar features and performance at lower prices, making them appealing to European consumers. Weller also noted that premium brands like BMW, Mercedes, and Porsche maintain their market due to the image and status associated with their vehicles, which Chinese cars cannot replicate. He sees no immediate threat to these premium brands in the German market.
