‘India can hit hard’: Doval recalls Op Sindoor, says our generosity, tolerance should not be seen as weakness

National Security Advisor Ajit Doval has emphasized that India's generosity and tolerance should not be interpreted as signs of weakness, asserting that the nation is capable of taking risks and "hitting hard" regardless of the potential consequences. In an upcoming Discovery docuseries called "Declassified: Operation Sindoor," Doval recounted the 88-hour military operation aimed at destroying enemy camps, particularly those involved in the Pahalgam terror attack.

According to Doval's first interview since the operation, the objective was to destroy enemy camps responsible for the Pahalgam attack. He stressed that India can take risks and "hit hard" despite the potential consequences, reinforcing the message that India's restraint should not be misconstrued as weakness. The docuseries, featuring first-hand accounts from India's military and national security leadership, delves into the decision-making process and the resolve behind the military response to the conflict.

Operation Sindoor was launched in response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, with precision strikes conducted on multiple terror infrastructure sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. Following the attack, Pakistan launched offensives against India, leading to a series of counter-offensives under Operation Sindoor.

The conflict between the two nuclear-armed neighbors lasted nearly 88 hours before an understanding was reached on May 10, halting the hostilities.
