Ashmit Patel says ‘ups and downs’ in relationship with sister Ameesha Patel: ‘I’ll protect her’

Ashmit Patel has shared insights into the relationship between him and his sister, Ameesha Patel, revealing that their bond has experienced its fair share of ups and downs. Despite this, Ashmit emphasized that his love and protection for his sister remain steadfast. Speaking to Hindi Rush, the actor stated, "Every relationship has its ups and downs.

Things are good; we are family. They say blood is thicker than water, and there is nothing you can do about that because our blood is the same. And the bond of Raksha Bandhan has always been there. I will always protect her till my last breath, and she knows that. That's important, no matter what the world says." Although rumors of discord between Ameesha and Ashmit have occasionally surfaced, Ashmit has consistently expressed his unwavering support for her.

Earlier, Ashmit had spoke about Ameesha's success in Gadar 2, acknowledging their family's euphoria over the film's performance. However, he preferred to keep his personal life private, explaining, "My dealings with my close people are very, very private. So I don't like to display it." In another interview, Ashmit revealed that while they were not particularly close at the time, he would always be there for Ameesha.

He also acknowledged that Ameesha's actions could be influenced by those around her, but he refrained from blaming anyone for their differences. The siblings' relationship has been a topic of public interest for years, with tensions dating back to the 2000s when Ameesha accused her father of mishandling her finances.
