Pemuda PKR Wilayah Persekutuan has claimed that Anwar Ibrahim saved Umno from a continued demise after the 2015 General Election, but his efforts were met with betrayal, according to Muhammad Huraimi Mohamad Husri, a Pemuda PKR Wilayah Persekutuan representative. Huraimi stated, "He is the one who wanted to save Umno from 'dying' in the last General Election.

But what was his reward? Is he valued? Is he remembered as a friend? No. He is betrayed." He also noted that politics based on power interests could lead to those once considered friends acting against them from behind. Huraimi emphasized that political struggles should not be sold based on relationships or specific interests. "Conquest is not achieved by poison, but by power, betrayal, and political interests."

Meanwhile, Pemuda PKR Melaka representative Muhammad Hakim Mohd Hafizudin criticized Umno's Deputy Leader Dr Akmal Saleh, who is accused of often presenting the Malay narrative. Hakim also accused those who label him as liberal due to his stance in PKR. "You accuse us of being liberal. Once this songkok is used, it becomes liberal again.

I am still Malay and Muslim. I can read the Quran and Hadith," he said. Hakim reminded PKR leadership that it is not just about criticizing others, but also about daring to improve weaknesses within the party to ensure the reform struggle continues to gain public trust.
