Actor Kim Min-hee attends Locarno film fest with director Hong Sang-soo

Actress Kim Min-hee and her longtime partner, director Hong Sang-soo, made their first public appearance together at the Locarno Film Festival after the birth of their son, according to foreign media reports. The couple attended a screening of Hong's latest feature, Nowhere to Lay My Eyes, which was part of the international competition section at the 79th edition of the annual film festival in Switzerland.

Kim, who gave birth to her first child with Hong last year, talked about her experiences as a new mother alongside the film's narrative during the post-screening audience Q&A. Nowhere to Lay My Eyes, Hong's 35th feature, tells the story of Sang-hee, a woman who travels to Jeju, a southern Korean island, to locate her divorced mother whom she hasn't seen in ten years.

Kim also served as the production manager for the film. This marked the fifth time Hong has been invited to the Locarno film fest to showcase his work, with his previous films including Our Sunhi in 2013, which earned him the best director award, and a Golden Leopard.
