TWICE's Chaeyoung Leaves JYP After Jeongyeon

Twice member Chaeyoung has announced her departure from JYP Entertainment after 14 years, taking to Instagram to share the news with her fans on August 13. The 27-year-old singer expressed her excitement for her new journey as a solo artist under her personal concept, Lil Fantasy. Chaeyoung thanked her agency and bandmates for their support throughout her time with JYP, assuring that her role in TWICE remains unchanged.

She added that her future with the nine-member K-pop group will remain unaffected. Chaeyoung's departure follows bandmate Jeongyeon's recent move to Varo Entertainment. TWICE, which debuted in 2015, is currently negotiating contract renewals for both members and the group. News reports also suggest that Chaeyoung and singer Zion.T have ended their relationship, which they both confirmed in April 2024.
