Travis Kelce says wedding to Taylor Swift was ‘best night of my life’

Travis Kelce, a professional American football player, shared his thoughts on his July wedding to pop star Taylor Swift, describing it as "the best night of my life". Speaking to a press conference, the Kansas City Chiefs athlete expressed gratitude for the attendees who celebrated their special day. He highlighted the night as "crazy" and full of "celebration".

The couple, aged 36 at the time, exchanged vows over two days of festivities at Madison Square Garden in New York on July 2 and 3. Travis, a three-time Super Bowl winner, was thrilled to have married in this iconic sports venue, citing it as his childhood dream come true. However, the wedding remained a closely guarded secret, with no photos released and the event only confirmed through statements from Swift's representative and signage at the venue.

The ceremony was officiated by comedian Adam Sandler, and the couple opted for designs by Jonathan Anderson at Christian Dior, with Swift choosing Louboutin shoes. A thousand guests, including numerous celebrities, attended the event, necessitating the closure of nearby streets and a significant police presence. New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani revealed that the newlyweds had paid the city $160,000 to cover the costs.

Journalist George Stephanopoulos described the wedding as "so personal and so intimate," despite the venue's vastness. The head of the AMC cinema chain, Adam Aron, initially shared his thoughts on the couple's vows before deleting the post, stating the vows were "long, entertaining, personal, charming, emotional, irreverent and endearing".

The relationship between Kelce and Swift became public knowledge two years ago, and they got engaged in August 2025.
