PKR's Deputy Youth Leader Kamil Munim has called for the concerns of Malay and Islamic communities to be heard and addressed with strong politics rather than leaving a space for opponents to fill with fear-based narratives. He emphasized that the PRN Johor and Negeri Sembilan defeats must be accepted with an open mind, as the outcomes indicate that some of the public still lack confidence in the political direction that genuinely understands their worries.

Munim stressed that blaming the public for making choices not favorable to PKR is unjust. Instead, the party's task is to understand the reasons behind their choices and find ways to rebuild trust. He noted that merely having a political strategy based on performance is not enough to tackle identity politics and fear, especially when the opposition successfully builds a narrative around Malay and Islamic identity, which is under threat.

He pointed out that such narratives do not accurately reflect the true state of the nation but instead tap into the emotional grievances of individuals concerned about the position of Malay and Islamic communities.

Munim urged the party not to disparage the anxious Malay and to avoid belittling those who want to see their religion respected. He reiterated that the concern over the nation's faith and religion needs to be addressed with strong politics. If we leave this space empty, a fear-based narrative will fill it; if we fail to provide confidence, opponents will seize the opportunity to exploit people's anxieties.

PKR must prove that Malay and Islamic identities can be upheld on a fair and effective foundation without closing opportunities for others. Munim stressed that confidence in being Malay will not disappear because the nation treats everyone fairly, and Islam will not weaken merely because society respects diversity. He concluded that safeguarding the rights of Malays and the Bumiputeras does not mean denying opportunities for others; rather, a fair nation that treats everyone can strengthen the position of Malays and the Bumiputeras.
