PKR Pahang has received clarification and an investigation into the procedures used for the party's membership registration through the Adil application and eKYC verification process, following allegations that recipients of food aid from the party's Indera Mahkota branch in Kuantan were registered as party members without their knowledge.

Party secretary Zukri Aksah expressed his serious concern over the allegations, emphasizing that all membership applications must be made voluntarily and with clear knowledge and consent from the applicant. In a Facebook post, Zukri stated that the party would investigate the procedures used in the program, including informing recipients, protecting personal information, the process of registering skills through the Adil application, and eKYC verification.

"If there are any misunderstandings or violations of the established procedures, the necessary correction measures will be taken," he said. "Food rations should not be used as a condition, reward, or incentive for someone to join the party," he added. "There is no party rule or guidance that allows for any form of coercion in membership matters."

The party has committed to ensuring that every party program is carried out clearly, with integrity, and respects the people's choices. A news portal recently reported that PKR's Indera Mahkota branch provided food aid to recipients on August 9th, who were later accused of being registered as party members without their knowledge.

PKR Semambu ADUN Chan Chun Kuang urged the party to investigate the allegations on the previous day, stating that aid should be provided based on need, regardless of race, religion, or political leanings. He also emphasized that party membership should be based on trust in someone's commitment to the party's principles and struggles.
