Ms. Lauryn Hill, Wyclef Jean, Lenny Kravitz & Shaboozey Among Line-Up For Hugh Jackman-Hosted 2026 Global Citizen Festival In NYC

The 2026 Global Citizen Festival, set to take place in New York's Central Park on September 26, will feature headliners TOMORROW X TOGETHER, Lauryn Hill and Wyclef Jean from the reunited Fugees, Lenny Kravitz, John Legend, Shaboozey, and Lainey Wilson. The event, hosted by Hugh Jackman and featuring Rachel Brosnahan and Gayle King, aims to end extreme poverty through music and advocacy.

Hill and Jean will collaborate to commemorate the 30th anniversary of their Fugees' iconic 1996 album The Score. Tickets to the festival are free and can be earned through actions on the Global Citizen app or via a $25 charitable donation. Users can allocate their points to enter a free ticket lottery or receive a ticket instantly.

Global Citizen Ambassador and co-host Jackman emphasized the festival's focus on three core issues: providing educational opportunities for two million children, supporting 1.5 million smallholder farmers, and supplying electricity to 2.5 million homes. Donations raised will benefit New York City through the City Parks Foundation, supporting youth education and parks initiatives across all five boroughs, as well as organizations aiding the homeless.

Hugh Evans, Global Citizen CEO/Co-founder, highlighted the significant progress made in reducing extreme poverty since 1990, when approximately 2.3 billion people lived in such conditions. Today, that number has decreased to around 830 million, or roughly one in ten people globally. Evans stressed that extreme poverty can be defeated through collective action, encouraging attendees to join the fight against poverty and celebrate the day with music and advocacy.
