I owe Villa the world but Man Utd are above them – Tielemans

Belgian midfielder Youri Tielemans moved from Aston Villa to Manchester United this summer, signing a five-year deal in a £35m release clause. Despite previously considering the move for two years, Tielemans expressed his appreciation for Villa, stating, "I owe them the world. It is a great club, we did amazing things, and they have put me back to my best level."

However, he emphasized that United is one of many clubs above Villa, and being part of the Old Trafford club is a significant achievement for any footballer. During an interview, Tielemans highlighted his partnership with captain Bruno Fernandes, describing the connection as "natural" and mentioning that Fernandes can easily find space on the field.

The pair demonstrated their rapport during a brief training session against Paris St-Germain. Tielemans also shared insights into his physical condition following a demanding World Cup schedule, acknowledging that he may need rest to perform at his best. He praised Jonny Evans, a former colleague at Leicester, who has been instrumental in helping him settle into his new environment.

Additionally, Tielemans mentioned Marcus Rashford, who has returned to his boyhood club after a difficult stint at Villa, praising his work ethic and skill. The Belgian midfielder is eager to contribute to United's success, emphasizing his desire to be successful in his career.
