El PP intenta aplazar el debate sobre la acogida a los menores hacinados en Ceuta

The People's Party (PP) is attempting to postpone the debate on accepting overcrowded minors in Ceuta. While the autonomous communities governed by the PP have promised to comply with the law and take in the migrant minors that are due, this does not mean they are ready to give up on confronting the government. The initial contact was made on Thursday between complaints among members of the PP when the Minister of Youth and Childhood, Sira Rego, met with representatives of the autonomous executives.

The popular party refuses to include the situation of Ceuta's minors in the formal meeting of the sectorial conference, which brings together the government and the autonomous communities, scheduled for the 27th of next month. Three regional administrations where the PP governs in conjunction with Vox -Castilla and León, Aragón, and Extremadura- boycotted the teleconferencing session on Thursday, refusing to participate due to the extreme right's opposition to managing the minors' competences in those territories.
