Patrick Clancy, Lindsay Clancy's ex-husband, has become a key figure in the case as she stands trial for the murder of their three children. On the first two days of the trial, he took the stand to recount the harrowing discovery of his children's bodies in the basement of their Duxbury, Massachusetts home, each with an exercise resistance band around their neck.

He described Lindsay as a "very dedicated" mother who did everything for their children but had "a really hard time being separated from them" due to her mental health struggles. Patrick testified that Lindsay was not a monster but had a mental illness that led to the tragic murders. He also asked the public to forgive her.
