Colombia: Earthquake death toll rises to 265, hundreds still missing

On Monday, a powerful earthquake struck Colombia, registering a magnitude of 7.4 on the Richter scale and becoming the strongest quake in the country since the 21st century. The epicenter was in San José del Palmar, located about 250 miles west of Bogotá. At least 111 people have been confirmed dead, while 87 others, including children, have been injured. The quake has caused substantial damage, with 1,500 homes destroyed and at least 60 buildings collapsing, according to the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF).
