Cityblock unveils partnership with Humana in North Carolina

Cityblock Health has formed a new partnership with Humana in North Carolina, aimed at expanding its reach to nearly 20,000 Medicare Advantage and dually eligible Humana members. This care model, designed to serve the most vulnerable patients, will be deployed by Cityblock to coordinate care for these members, working alongside their primary care teams and Humana.

Patients can access a range of services, from primary care to urgent care and behavioral health, both in person and virtually around the clock. Mike Roaldi, president of Cityblock, expressed that the partnership validates their efforts and proves the effectiveness of their value-based care model. Roaldi emphasized that partnering with an established insurer in a mature market like Medicare Advantage allows Cityblock to establish a solid foundation for scaling its care model into new regions.

The partnership is supported by Cityblock's ongoing investment in advanced technology, particularly their AI-powered platform which personalizes care and optimizes outcomes. Roaldi stressed that the team carefully considers where AI offers the most value, rather than relying on technology as a one-size-fits-all solution.
