Apollo Hospitals to add over 5,800 beds in next 5 years

Apollo Hospitals announced plans to expand its bed capacity by over 5,800 beds within the next five years, as reported in its Q1 FY27 financial statements. The company's consolidated revenue increased by 21%, reaching Rs 7,043 crore, while its EBITDA grew by 28% to Rs 1,092 crore. The expansion includes the addition of 148 new beds to its facilities in Indore and Guwahati, as well as the opening of four new hospitals in Indore, Dwarka, Delhi Proton Centre, and Ranchi, bringing the total to 1,200 beds.

The healthcare giant's healthcare services arm reported a 22% YoY revenue growth to Rs 3,567 crore, with EBITDA increasing by 20% to Rs 862 crore and PAT growing by 25% to Rs 480 crore. Apollo Hospitals now has a total of 8,352 operating beds across its network, with an overall occupancy rate of 70% as of June 30, 2026, up from 65% in the same period last year.

In addition to its main business, Apollo Hospitals also operates the Apollo Health and Lifestyle Limited (AHLL) segment, which saw a 15% YoY revenue increase to Rs 499 crore. The segment reported an EBITDA of Rs 59 crore and a PAT of Rs 480 crore. The Apollo HealthCo segment, on the other hand, experienced a 20% YoY revenue growth to Rs 2,977 crore, with an EBITDA of Rs 171 crore and a PAT of Rs 101 crore.

Apollo Hospitals' CEO, Dr. Prathap C. Reddy, highlighted the company's commitment to addressing the rising burden of non-communicable diseases and the growing need for specialized care. He emphasized that the healthcare network is well-positioned to support this shift towards a model that connects prevention, early diagnosis, advanced intervention, and long-term care.

The company's integrated healthcare ecosystem is expected to continue expanding access to advanced care, as evidenced by the commissioning of new hospitals in Sarjapur, Bangalore, in Q1 FY27.
