Adakah PAS akan anjur demonstrasi isu TH, soal Rayer

PAS member RSN Rayer questioned whether the party would organize a large demonstration to demand action against those allegedly responsible for misusing funds from the Tabung Haji (TH) organization. The DAP lawmaker made this remark following PAS member's departure from the Dewan Rakyat and refusal to continue the discussion on the Royal Malaysian Commission (RCI) TH report, due to Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim's absence at a special session last month.

If PAS truly defends Islam and Malays, why did all PAS representatives leave the Dewan Rakyat on August 11th without participating in the discussion? Given that we now know who misused TH funds, would PAS organize a large demonstration to demand that those responsible for misusing TH funds take action? Before the discussion began on Tuesday, the Chief Whip of the Perikatan Nasional, Takiyuddin Hassan, reportedly stated that Anwar's presence was crucial for providing a comprehensive explanation regarding the report, especially since the special session was convened at the Prime Minister's behest.

He added that dissidents had already sent a letter to the Speaker of the Dewan Rakyat, Johari Abdul, requesting the postponement of the special session until Anwar returns to duty after receiving medical treatment. However, Johari, while chairing the special session, stated that a member who does not wish to continue the discussion can leave the house.

Meanwhile, Rayer questioned the real struggle of PAS and doubted if the party's actions could be influenced by its political relationship with Umno. Could it be highly likely that PAS does not want to discuss the RCI TH report presented in the Dewan Rakyat on August 11th due to fear of offending Umno, which would result in missing opportunities for cooperation during the PRN Melaka elections? The real question remains: what is PAS's real struggle?
