Adakah PAS akan anjur demonstrasi isu TH, soal Rayer

PAS deputy chairman RSN Rayer questioned whether the party would hold a large demonstration to demand action against those responsible for allegedly embezzling funds from the Muslim Endowment Fund (TH). The DAP representative posed this question after PAS MP walked out of the House of Representatives and refused to continue debating the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) report on TH, due to Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim's absence at a special session last week.

Given PAS's claimed support for Islam and Malays, why did all PAS representatives leave the House of Representatives on August 11 without participating in the debate? Now that we know who embezzled TH funds, will PAS organize a large demonstration to demand that all responsible individuals be held accountable? Before the debate began on Tuesday, the Chief Whip of the Perikatan Nasional, Takiyuddin Hassan, reportedly said that Anwar's presence was crucial for a thorough explanation regarding the report, especially since the special session was called at the Prime Minister's request.

Opposition lawmakers have submitted a letter to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Johari Abdul, asking for the special session to be postponed until Anwar returns to work after his medical treatment. However, when chairing the special session, Johari said that any MP unwilling to continue the debate could leave the House.

Meanwhile, Rayer questioned the real struggle of PAS and accused the party of potentially avoiding discussing the RCI TH report presented in the House of Representatives on August 11 due to fear of offending Umno, which might cost them the opportunity for cooperation during the 15th General Election. Ultimately, the question remains: What is the true struggle of PAS?
