A 60-year-old former executive has been arrested for sexually assaulting a 20-year-old woman with intellectual disabilities. The 60-year-old, identified as Mr. Kim, is facing charges of sexual assault under the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Violence, which targets cases involving disabled individuals. Following a pre-trial hearing, Judge Lee at the Incheon District Court issued a warrant for Mr. Kim's arrest due to concerns over evidence tampering and the possibility of fleeing the country.

The woman, identified as Ms. Park, had given birth to a child with Mr. Kim, who claimed their relationship was based on mutual consent. Prosecutors claim that Mr. Kim took Ms. Park to a gynecologist and changed her mobile phone to prevent her from seeking help. When questioned during his arrest, Mr. Kim expressed no remorse, stating "I have nothing to say."

He refused to answer several probing questions about their relationship, the child's upbringing, and the reason for altering Ms. Park's phone. Mr. Kim, who worked at a company that employed 12 intellectually disabled individuals and 10 non-disabled employees, was fired after the allegations came to light. He had worked in the transport of laundry, a position held by the company's founder's father.

The Korea Association for Children with Developmental Disabilities held a press conference at the court, stating that the victim had suffered a complete breakdown of her life, including her pregnancy and childbirth, due to the sexual abuse from her former employer. The victim's father expressed frustration that his daughter's abuser never apologized or acknowledged his role in her condition.
