Umno respects TH RCI's findings, recommendations

Kuala Lumpur: Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin, Umno's vice-president, has expressed respect and acknowledgement of the findings and recommendations from the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) into the Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH). Speaking to the New Straits Times, Khaled emphasized the importance of taking note of the RCI's suggestions and adhering to them.

He stated that it was crucial for all parties, including Umno, to carefully consider the report and use it as guidance to steer the way forward and prevent any recurrence of the issues. Khaled also highlighted the need to reevaluate the measures and strategies related to institutions that are significant to Malays and Islam, in order to improve and manage them professionally.

He reiterated that Umno will always stand by any decision made by authorities following evidence-based investigations, and that the law and justice will take its course. Furthermore, Khaled stressed that Umno would not tolerate any malpractice and would safeguard the interests of Malay and Muslim institutions. Regarding the RCI report, he urged all parties to thoroughly assess the findings and recommendations to determine the next steps.
