TWS’ ‘SODA SODA’ Tops Japan Hot 100 as Aimyon’s ‘Ai Wo Tsutaetaidatoka’ Returns After Nearly Four Years

TWS' "SODA SODA" claimed the top spot on the Billboard Japan Hot 100, released on August 12. The second Japanese single from the six-member K-POP boy band's second release, which debuted on August 4, sold 307,037 copies to claim the No. 2 position for sales and radio airplay, accumulating the highest points in the week. This marks the group's second chart-topper on the Japan Hot 100, following their debut single "Hajimemashite."

ME:I's "Flower Road" entered the chart at No. 2, while "Summer Twin Tail" by ≒JOY debuted at No. 3. Mrs. GREEN APPLE's "Brand New" held at No. 4, with "Tsumi to Batsu to Ame to Kiss" by M!LK members Hayato Sano and Jinto Yoshida making their debut at No. 5. ATEEZ's "BAD" dropped three spots to No. 6, while M!LK's "Sukisugite Metsu!" and "Bakuretsu Aishiteru" rose one and two positions to No. 7 and No. 9, respectively.

Spitz's "Mishiranu Ito," the theme song for the TBS Friday drama T-Shirt ga Kawaku Made, debuted at No. 8, and ILLIT's "It's Me" climbed two spots to No. 10, with streaming up 104% week-over-week. Travis Japan's "On My Road -Stadium ver.-" and Aimyon's "Ai Wo Tsutaetaidatoka," which returns to the chart for the first time in nearly four years since September 2022, rounded out the week's other notable entries.
