Terror attack: Kebbi to support families of slain police officers

The Kebbi State Government has committed to supporting the families of 10 police officers and other civilians who were killed by bandits in Rafin Makuku, Sakaba Local Government Area. Governor Nasir Idris made the pledge after a condolence visit from the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, and the Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Umar Dada.

The officers had been deployed to assist other security agencies in combating terrorism and crime when they were attacked. The governor emphasized that it is customary for Kebbi to provide support to families of security personnel killed in the line of duty. DIG Dada assured the governor that the police would intensify their efforts to apprehend those responsible for the attack and hold them accountable.

He also praised the state government for its ongoing support of the police and other security forces, and announced plans to establish a police squadron in Kebbi State to bolster security and safeguard lives and property.
