Police summon Senator Fadahunsi over ‘kill Accord’ members comment (Video)

The Osun state police command has issued a summons to Senator Francis Fadahunsi over allegations of threatening and inciting violence against members of the rival Accord Party ahead of the governorship election. In a video shared on social media, the APC senator was heard instructing supporters to "kill" Accord Party members if encountered during the electoral process in certain parts of the state.

This statement has sparked outrage and led to the police inviting Fadahunsi to clarify the circumstances surrounding his comments. He is scheduled to appear at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Osogbo on August 12 at 11:00 am. Fadahunsi later attempted to retract his remarks, stating that they were a call for supporters to reject the Accord Party through lawful, peaceful, and democratic means during the election.
