On July 29, People's Daily Online unveiled its first AI digital employee, signaling a broader rollout of AI applications in office environments. This AI-driven digital assistant, designated as No. 001, transcends traditional AI tools that merely support specific tasks. Instead, it functions as a comprehensive digital collaboration specialist within an office setting.

This versatile AI digital employee can be seamlessly integrated with mainstream office platforms including OA systems, WeCom, Tencent's enterprise communication platform, and email. Notably, it requires no specialized skills from employees to operate. Users can simply assign tasks via various channels, and the AI digital employee will handle the rest.

Its capabilities are extensive, ranging from polishing and formatting documents to processing workflows. Furthermore, it can draft official documents, assist with document management, coordinate meetings, conduct analysis and decision-making, supervise tasks, and facilitate collaboration among team members.

The AI digital employee operates on trusted local nodes, ensuring data security through local data processing, tiered permission management, and comprehensive operation tracking. This approach guarantees compliant operations from the outset, aligning with enterprise data security protocols.
