NSCDC unveils safe school committee in Abia, inaugurates operational vehicles

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Abia State has introduced a senior and junior disciplinary, safe school, and personnel study approval committee. The command also unveiled three refurbished Hilux vehicles, courtesy of Abia State Governor Alex Otti. During the inauguration ceremony in Umuahia, the state capital, NSCDC Commandant Abia State Command, Chukwuemeka Odimba, cautioned the committee members against any bias or favoritism, emphasizing the critical nature of their role in shaping colleagues' careers and welfare.

Odimba stressed the importance of maintaining accurate records, confidentiality, and timely report submissions, alongside ensuring that their recommendations align with the corps' ethics, rules, and regulations. He expressed confidence in the committee's ability to make significant contributions to the effective administration of the state command.

Governor Otti commended the NSCDC for its efforts in enhancing security and reassured residents that through the committee, the state would be a safer place to live.
