NSCDC unveils safe school committee in Abia, inaugurates operational vehicles

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Abia State Command has recently established its Senior and Junior Disciplinary, Safe School, and Personnel Studying Approval committees. Additionally, three Hilux operational vehicles were commissioned by the state governor, Alex Otti. At the inauguration held in Umuahia, the state capital, the State Commandant, Chukwuemeka Odimba, urged committee members to uphold integrity, avoid bias, and adhere to ethical guidelines while performing their duties.

The commandant emphasized the importance of maintaining accurate records, confidentiality, timely reporting, and ensuring recommendations align with the corps' ethics, rules, and regulations. Odimba expressed confidence in the committee members, stating that with their experience, commitment, and sense of responsibility, they would deliver outstanding results and contribute positively to the state command's administration.

The commissioning of the vehicles was done on behalf of the Commandant-General of the corps, Ahmed Audi, who expressed gratitude to the governor for his generous support, providing five vehicles within six months and promising to procure the remaining ten. The committee's Chairman and Deputy Commandant, Operations, Ogota Emmanuel, pledged that the NSCDC would ensure the safety of the state's residents under their supervision.
